Smoke on the Mountain

Book by Connie Ray. Conceived by Alan Bailey
Musical Arrangements by Mike Craver and Mark Hardwick
Directed by Kris Kuziel - Musical Director Cathy Hoeft

Our fall musical is fast approaching. Join the Sanders Family as they return to the gospel circuit in 1939, after a five year hiatus. Burl (Dan Pratt) and Vera (Sara Green) have decided to spread the good news once again. Joined by their three children June (Jenny Parker) Denise (Amy Britt) and Dennis (Daniel Pratt) the singing Sanders visit Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at the invitation of Pastor Oglethorp (James Childs) who is hoping to push his congregation into the new age. Accompanied by Burl’s brother Stanley (Roger Hackleberg), their sister in law Patsy (Kris Kuziel) and the church piano player (Cathy Haeft) they share their gospel stories in hilarious fashion, meeting with disapproval from the proper church ladies (Terry McGrath and Lori Hackleberg).

Like the minimal stage set of the famous play Our Town, our website is in minimalist mode as we undertake a major reconstruction. We hope you'll visit again to see what's changed, including interesting history, details about upcoming shows and other features.
